Teamwork and Communication Training for Your Institution
Ineffective communication between members of the healthcare team can diminish the quality of patient care and result in patient harm. Recognizing this, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) has made “Improve the effectiveness of communication among caregivers” a National Patient Safety Goal for 2005.
One of the goals of the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care is to ensure seamless communication among the healthcare members so that medical errors can be reduced
